Here's a little more about me.

Roxanne Krumm is a
multi-disciplinary
product designer and passionate artist living and working in New York.

Here's a little more about me.

.

.

I’m a product designer with over 13 years of experience building thoughtful, user-centered products for companies in New York and Berlin.

I bring a balance of technical rigor and creative intuition to my work, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

My core expertise includes wireframing, prototyping, A/B testing, and interaction design. I’ve also collaborated closely across disciplines — from content design and UX research to data analytics and engineering — ensuring that design decisions are informed, feasible, and aligned with business goals.

Having spent much of my career in start-ups, I developed a strong foundation as a versatile, end-to-end designer. I learned to move quickly, adapt to evolving priorities, and make thoughtful trade-offs between short- and long-term objectives.

More recently, I’ve worked within larger organizations, where I’ve owned specialized product areas and partnered across cross-functional teams to maintain cohesion, scalability, and design consistency at scale.

I value inspiration beyond the boundaries of our field. I believe creativity is cultivated through unexpected experiences and perspectives beyond traditional tools and frameworks —  which is why outside of work, you’ll likely find me painting and exploring Berlin’s arts and culture scene.

I've always had a feel for both my technical and creative side. When I was in school for my BFA, I found it difficult to pick a subject of interest. I enjoyed Typography, CSS/HTML, Graphic Design, and Animation. Naturally, all these things came together and I became a product designer.

For 8 years I've designed consumer-facing apps and websites for various start-ups in New York. Wireframing, prototyping, UI design, and animation are my bread and butter.

Because of my history at start-ups, I often have been a do-it-all designer who had to learn new skills on the job and design things quickly.

Start-up life gave me a deep understanding of the importance of all phases of design, the balance of short vs. long-term goals, data-based decisions vs. intuition, and the scrappiness it takes for new businesses to succeed.

Of course, there is always more to learn - my latest being Design Systems and how to successfully create, maintain, and scale Design Systems to work across a business.

When I'm not designing, I'm probably painting, reading, or hanging out with my cute fluffy dog, Rex.
